formula
virtual reserves at launch: 30 SOL and 1,073,000,000 tokens (k = 30 × 1.073B) tokens on the curve: 793,100,000 of the 1,000,000,000 supply price = virtual SOL ÷ virtual tokens; market cap = price × 1B progress = tokens sold ÷ 793.1M graduation: 85.005 SOL raised, 410.88 SOL market cap
how the pump.fun curve works
pump.fun prices a new coin with a constant-product formula on virtual reserves: 30 SOL against 1.073 billion tokens. Each buy adds SOL and removes tokens, so the price rises smoothly. 793.1 million tokens can be bought from the curve; when they are all gone, the coin graduates and its liquidity moves to a PumpSwap pool.
- Launch: 27.96 SOL market cap.
- 25% progress: 42.07 SOL market cap, 6.8 SOL raised.
- 50% progress: 70.35 SOL market cap, 17.59 SOL raised.
- 75% progress: 140.78 SOL market cap, 37.32 SOL raised.
- Graduation: 410.88 SOL market cap, 85.005 SOL raised.
Because the curve is fixed, the whole path from launch to graduation is about a 14.7x in market cap, and most of the SOL goes in near the end: the last 25% of the curve takes more SOL than the first 75%.
what your buy gets you
Early buys get far more supply for the same SOL. At launch, 1 SOL (fee included) buys about 3.42% of the supply and 10 SOL about 26.6%. Near graduation, the same SOL buys a fraction of a percent. The buy panel shows the tokens, the share of supply, the market cap after your buy and the price impact of your own order.
fees and USDC coins
The bonding curve charges 1.25% per trade: 0.95% to the protocol and 0.30% to the coin's creator. Since May 2026 pump.fun also launches USDC-paired coins on a separate curve with different reserves; this calculator covers the SOL curve only.
frequently asked questions
What market cap does a pump.fun coin graduate at?
At 410.88 SOL of market cap, when all 793.1 million curve tokens have been sold and about 85 SOL sits in the curve. In dollars that depends on the SOL price; the calculator converts it live.
How much SOL does it take to fill a pump.fun bonding curve?
85.005 SOL of buys, plus the 1.25% trading fee on each buy. Sells take SOL back out, so the total bought over a coin's life is usually more.
How is bonding curve progress calculated?
Tokens sold from the curve divided by 793.1 million. From a live price p (in SOL per token), the tokens still in the virtual reserve are √(32.19B ÷ p), and tokens sold are 1.073B minus that.
What happens when a pump.fun coin graduates?
Its remaining liquidity moves to a PumpSwap pool (it used to be Raydium), where trading fees start at 1.25% and fall as the market cap grows. Graduation carries a 0.015 SOL migration fee.
