how to use the crypto profit calculator
- Enter how much you put in, in USD.
- Choose whether you track the trade by market cap (how most memecoin traders do it) or by price.
- Enter the entry and exit values. Shorthand works: 80k, 1.2m.
- Add the buy and sell fee of your app or bot, and any fixed costs such as priority fees or gas.
formula
multiple = exit ÷ entry take-home = invest × multiple × (1 − buy fee) × (1 − sell fee) − fixed costs profit = take-home − invest gain % = (multiple − 1) × 100
entry market cap is all you need
Your profit depends only on the ratio between exit and entry. If you bought at a $80K market cap and sold at $1.2M, the move is 15x whatever the token's supply or price. That is why trenches traders quote "entered at 80k" instead of a price with eight zeros.
fees eat small trades
Trading apps and bots typically charge around 1% per side, the DEX pool takes its own fee, and Solana priority fees or EVM gas are a fixed cost per transaction. On a $20 ape, a $0.50 round trip in priority fees alone is 2.5% before the token moves at all. The break-even figure in the calculator shows the move you need just to get your money back.
multiples and percentages
- 2x = +100%
- 3x = +200%
- 5x = +400%
- 10x = +900%
- 100x = +9,900%
- A drop to 0.5x = −50%
Fomo Trending labels milestones the same way: a token that went 5x since it entered FOMO Trending is shown as +400%.
frequently asked questions
How do I calculate profit on a memecoin?
Divide the exit market cap by the entry market cap to get the multiple, multiply your investment by it, subtract fees, then subtract what you put in. $500 in at an $80K market cap and out at $1.2M is 15x: $7,500 before fees, $7,000 profit.
Is a 10x a 1,000% gain?
No. A 10x turns $100 into $1,000, a gain of $900, which is +900%. The gain percentage is always (multiple − 1) × 100.
Why use market cap instead of price?
Memecoin prices have many leading zeros and differ by supply. Market cap makes entries and exits comparable across tokens, and the profit math is identical because only the ratio matters.
What fees should I enter?
Use your trading app's fee per side (often around 1%), plus any fixed costs: Solana priority fees and tips, or gas on Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain. DEX pool fees are already in the price you get.
