how to use the market cap comparison
- Paste a contract address or link to load a token's market cap and supply, or type them.
- Pick a reference coin: majors like BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, or memecoins like DOGE, PEPE, BONK, WIF.
- Read the price your token would have at that market cap and the multiple from here.
- Enter your tokens to see your bag at every reference market cap in the table.
formula
price at reference = reference market cap ÷ your token's circulating supply multiple = reference market cap ÷ your token's market cap
why comparisons use market cap, not price
Comparing prices across tokens is meaningless because supplies differ by billions. Market cap puts every token on the same scale: if a 1-billion-supply memecoin reached PEPE's market cap, its price would be PEPE's market cap divided by 1 billion.
use it as a sanity check
The comparison table is best used the other way round: before buying, check how many multiples separate the token from the biggest memecoins. A token at $5M needs a few hundred x to reach PEPE. Very few ever do. Reference market caps come live from CoinGecko; your token's numbers come from DexScreener.
frequently asked questions
How do I calculate a coin's price at another coin's market cap?
Divide the other coin's market cap by your coin's circulating supply. A token with 1 billion supply at DOGE's market cap of about $15 billion would trade around $15.
Does it work for tokens not on CoinGecko?
Yes. Your token's data comes from DexScreener through its contract address, so it works for pump.fun coins and any token with a DEX pair. Only the reference coins come from CoinGecko.
Is reaching another coin's market cap realistic?
Rarely. Market cap is set by what the whole market pays; most memecoins peak far below the leaders and many go to zero.
