how to use the memecoin market cap calculator
- Paste the token's contract address or a DexScreener, pump.fun or FOMO link, or type the circulating supply yourself (1b for pump.fun tokens).
- Enter where the token is now: its market cap or its price.
- Set a target market cap, or tap one of the quick targets.
- Optionally enter how many tokens you hold to see your bag at every market cap.
formula
market cap = price × circulating supply price at target = target market cap ÷ circulating supply multiple needed = target market cap ÷ current market cap
why traders think in market cap, not price
Memecoin prices are tiny numbers with many zeros ($0.00004213), which makes them useless for comparison. Market cap removes the zeros: a token at $42K market cap and one at $42M are instantly comparable, whatever their supply.
Market cap also tells you what has to happen for a target to be hit. Going from $250K to $10M is a 40x, which means roughly $9.75M of net new value has to flow in. Price alone hides that.
worked example
A pump.fun token has 1,000,000,000 tokens and trades at a $250K market cap. Its price is $250,000 ÷ 1,000,000,000 = $0.00025. At a $10M market cap the price would be $0.01, a 40x (+3,900%).
If you hold 5,000,000 tokens, your bag is worth $1,250 now and $50,000 at $10M. The table in the calculator lists the price and your bag at every market cap from $100K to $10B.
market cap vs FDV
Market cap uses the circulating supply. FDV (fully diluted valuation) uses the total supply, including tokens that are locked or not yet minted. For most memecoins the whole supply is already circulating, so the two are equal. For tokens with vesting or team allocations, FDV can be many times the market cap, and the price has to absorb those unlocks later.
frequently asked questions
How do you calculate a token's price at a market cap?
Divide the target market cap by the circulating supply. A token with 1 billion tokens at a $1M market cap trades at $0.001; at $100M it trades at $0.10.
What will my memecoin be worth at a 1B market cap?
Multiply your tokens by the price at $1B: tokens × ($1,000,000,000 ÷ supply). With 1 billion supply, each token is worth exactly $1 at a $1B market cap, so 2 million tokens would be worth $2M.
Where does the calculator get live data?
When you paste a contract address or link, it reads the most liquid DEX pair from DexScreener's public API in your browser. Supply is derived as market cap ÷ price.
Is market cap the money invested in a token?
No. Market cap is the last trade price multiplied by supply. Thin liquidity means a small amount of buying can add millions of market cap, and the same market cap can vanish when holders sell into a shallow pool.
